Download the report in PDF format
A well-crafted business case is essential to an executive’s decision-making process about enterprise investments. As new strategies emerge and technology choices become more complex, the business case becomes central to both understanding and funding the evolution of enterprise infrastructure. Within the business case, justifications for investment are expressed as hard benefits, soft benefits, or a combination of the two. But no single formula will work for every organization. Building the business case for service oriented architecture (SOA) requires careful analysis of the infrastructure’s projected state, impact during evolution to that state, and the benefits that accrue along the way.
