Requirements:
- Direct experience in governance, architecture, design, and development of x86 server farms, racks, iSCSI and FC SANs, IP-based networks, clusters, and disaster recovery plans
- Broad knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies, including server virtualization, storage virtualization, and iSCSI

Burton Group is seeking an Analyst and subject matter expert who will be responsible for creating high quality content for Burton Group's clientele including, but not limited to, research documents and public presentations.
The Analyst will work with customers, vendors, and industry leaders as part of their research responsibilities. The Analyst will be part of the Enterprise Architecture program at Burton Group, and will work extensively with senior executives and their staff.
The research emphasis of this position is Enterprise Architecture. Priority will be given to applicants demonstrating extensive real-world experience as an enterprise architect within a complex enterprise environment.
Requirements:
- A recognized leader in Enterprise Architecture
- The EA Analyst shall be capable of writing research and speaking about issues related to two or more topic areas listed below:

Responsibilities:

- Creates and maintains six to seven high quality, timely documents, reference architecture components or other content types per 12 month review period
- Works with Burton Group public relations to secure industry press writing opportunities
- Performs a minimum of two customer dialogues per month, or 24 over the course of a twelve month period
- Prepares and delivers one or more content presentation(s) at one or more of the company’s annual Catalyst Conferences, or performs other tasks to support to conferences, such as speaker recruitment and management
- Participates in Telebriefings: a minimum of two as principal speaker and as a contributor at the January Trends Telebriefing
- Covers a minimum of two industry conferences per year
- Participates in a minimum of four vendor briefings per month
- Performs a minimum of sixteen customer surveys per twelve month review period in order to glean content, quality and results produced. Report information to analyst teams
- Provide consulting support by contributing up to three days of billable consulting work in the twelve month review period
- Maintain the company’s industry leadership reputation by responding to press inquiries and speaking at industry events in area of expertise
